Note the turbo sail panels are not mounted. I emailed Archie to see if he can spray paint the mirrors and sail panels black for looks.
Here an update from Archie...

Well after I resolve the bill, ship FGT back home to FL and $ave up again (since I exceeded my budget sad, I'll be saving up for a while . The sky in NOT the limit, but would be nice if it was smile), I need to finish the deck scoop and then I'd like to do a very similar dash like Curlys #11 (w/o digital gauges). Curly has a contact in the FL gulf coast who made two of these dashes for $1500 each. IMO it still looks like a Fiero dash but modernized. I like to keep that Fiero look and feel to my car. After all it is a Fiero wink.

I like the car, but man you are going to need two parking spots for that car with the mirrors out like that.

I'm going to re-evaluate the mirrors. I may reduce the base length 1" to 2" but either way I will still have to use two parking spots to avoid getting the paint scratch.

I will be picking up FGT this Saturday from V8A. FGT will be stored in a warehouse in North IL for a few months. I'm going to try to have it ready for the 25th Anniversary show.

If anyone is curious, the car insurance is from Hagerty at $285 a year for $30k coverage (includes 500 miles driveable mile and covers trailed too).

How tall are you?!  lol

What is the tallest a person can be to comfortable sit in a choptop?

Lookin' nice!  I couldn't tell from the pic, but are you using the Mini Cooper turn markers in the rear as well to match the front turn markers?

Cheers, Derek

I'm 6'.0". The 3" choptop is a tight fit. IMO 2" choptop would be ideal and Car-2-Lo (Canada) proved that it's possible.

Yes, I'm using the Mini Cooper marker lights on the front and rear.

SAFASTRO, FGT is still in North IL but out of V8A's shop. Not sure when I will bring it back to FL.

I'm just glad it's in my possession. It's been challenging. Before shipping FGT to Archie's shop in Sep '07 I contacted several PFF members for references and was told the following: "Archie is only good at doing one thing and thats choptops... Nothing else".

Stay tunned for my review (The Good, The Bad & The Ugly), total costs of the project and recommendation for working with ANY custom shop.

Depending on the color the car is going  tobe painted  the ROH Modena black looks great especially if you are using big brakes behind them.
