Woo hoo, page 2.

OK, it's been long enough now to ask who your favorite Avenger was and why without being a spoiler.

For me it turned out to be the Hulk. The 2 situations which prompt that pick were:

1 - When Captain America was taking charge, and positioning eveyone for the battle, he placed them all one by one then turned to the Hulk and said "Hulk, smash"! The Hulk just grinned and went "hunghh"! Great scene.

The real clincher:

2 - When the Hulk finally confronted Loki, who stopped him in his tracks initially, and then blabbered on about how creatures like the Hulk should bow down to Gods like Loki. The Hulk then quickly grabbed Loki by the ankles and thrashed him back and forth like a wet blanket against the marble floor, finally leaving him in broken heap. Exiting that the Hulk says "Puny God"!

My hero, definately my hero.

Who's your favorite Avenger and why?

    Ok
    Mine is Iron Man

He's a genius, has oodles of money and all the cool toys

I was lucky enough to see a scene that got cut out of the movie
It featured the Unstanitary Avenger - Played by no other than our own Stan

He actually ran into Loki just before the Hulk did. His Avenger uniform was a tattered olive drab sarong a cardboard Halo ODST helmet and some neoprene gloves. He was being chased by a legion of evil doers (He was really leading them into a trap) He runs up to Loki extends his right arm points at him and says

    "Pull My Finger"

Loki shocked by the sheer uncleanliness of the Unstanitary Avenger throws up his hands in disgust accidentally brushing the extended finger - This in turn releases a giant green fermented cloud of methane gas on to the legion behind him and in the same motion he crouch jumps over Loki out of Stark Tower and back down on the street!

    Now that's my kinda hero!

You obviously watched the special closed captioned version that was only available to perverts and miscreant ticket holders.

I was referring to the general audience version for prepubescent teens and demented droolers.

Please, this is a family forum.

The other day I saw "The Raid: Redemption (2011)". Flick from Indonesian. Dubbed in English. NON-STOP ACTION!

Saw "The Hobbit" yesterday. Enjoyed it a lot.

Some good trailers like Superman but the one that caught my attention was "Pacific Rim". Monsters, giant robots and a teen pilot.... Sounds like a copy "Neon Genesis Evangelion" anime!

Looking forward but with apprehension to seeing the movie 'Jack Reacher', from the Lee Child book 'One Shot'.  I've read the whole Jack Reacher series and it is very good. Would highly recommend the books for those that like to read.  About a former Marine MP that drifts around the country.  My biggest problem is trying to picture Tom Cruise playing a 6'5" 250lb former Marine.

I saw the "Hobbit" at a $4 matinee for old guys today.  I saw the 2D version.  Another great movie with great scenery and lots of action. A 2 1/2 hour at least, but the movie stopped before the book ended so look for another movie to continue the adventure.

Read every Reacher book - Have the same problem visualizing Tom Cruise as Reacher smile.

Just got back..... Darn I haven't seen a movie that well put together in years! No wonder the rating on RT are at 98% out of 220 critics.

Movie seems to focus on Charlize Theron character "Furiosa". They should have named her "FuriosaGTO" wink

I'm sorry... But Pappy was unhappy with Fury Road

It had very little character building and almost zero story line

It had a LOT of action - shooting - car crashing - blowing stuff up

The Pappy Movie Meter calculated it had an action to storyline ratio of 10 to 1

Some vehicles that got blew up on the first leg reapeared and got blown up yet again on the second leg - some people too - the rubble blocked canyon was clean of ALL debris when they came back thru (the wife called shanannagans on that one)

Pappy also didn't like the fact that the 'Last of the V8 Interceptors' was so short lived. That should have gotten WAY more screen time

I'm sorry but as Mad Max movies go - Pappy left wanting more story line and less blowing stuff up - But hey Pappy thought Beyond Thunderdome rocked

These are the opinion of some old guy and do not reflect the position of any people with an IQ higher than 27
