I still say that rear struts are one of the easiest areas to work on for Fieros.
If you're available Sunday morning, early, I can swing by.

REALLY! It would take me less than an hour since the springs are already out. And if your springs aren't full length you WILL NOT need a spring compressor. Even if they are full length stock springs, you can usually get them back on without the compressor.

Will wanted to do this monday, sunday is fine with me,,I just need to eye ball what he has ,,I do not know if he has the struts, the lower mount bolts and nuts..
..He has not gone about this correctly,, the direction is gratification ,, the serious stuff needs to be done ..FIRST..Make the car a complete roller,,there is much difficult work to do,,The rear brakes  just do not look right,,but Ive never installed seville brakes,,I do know the inner pad & knuckle needs to be cut down..
I looked up the cost of a used countach $85,000 to $105,000,,then I figured how many 7/11 I would have to knock over , to purchase one, whew!!In prison I could write my memoirs ""I was the Countach7/11 bandit"

A little background on what you see... Joe who worked for exotic illusions for years made everything to basically bolt on, all the brake mods are done and just need to be hooked up, they aren't Cadillac brakes on the rear that's why you don't recognize em as such Stan, sorry for the confusion. The fronts are corvette and on the rear are  Pontiac TranSport . Hopefully this won't be a nightmare to assemble, Joe said it would be easy, he made everything so it would..sure hope he's got this right...struts are on the car as of now, just no springs.  the springs are sitting beside the car, this is how they came. while the brackets and things are close( he engineered everything this way) they are designed to pull in the wheels so that they don't stick out of the fenders biggrin again, hope this works...trying to get the rest of the lug nuts lol

Ohh, joe sent me these photos to walk me through the Assembly process, does this help??

Will

The new photos are of front brakes no problem,,if you have grinder, carefully grind corvette  off..I thought the strut had been replaced by 2x4,no problem..we will get the ball rolling ,we need to do stuff that make the car drivable.the original project kit car owner burns out because he can not see the finish ..the tunnel is dark..A roller with brakes & engine keeps the spirit alive..
Find out what color the lambo struts are !! paint the springs red if you do not know..
..I could not reach you on the phone & you have not emailed me
I will meet you at Denny,s monday morning at (9:30)Exactly where is Dennys??,Kirkman? hwy 50? close to what major intersection?? we will meet there
..I have a good selection of quality tools for you .,let me know  if you purchase craftman set,,if not forget it.. I have located much better lower cost alternative ..

Wills car is pretty neat,he is moving foward with his dream, not many of us will be able to drive a lambo replica that really looks like a countash in the details ..None of the parts are just falling off,,we had an Impact Gun problem,, I may have lost mine, disapeared, really held things up,,so we had to go get one ..

..Will needs a 34 or 35 mm(11/2) socket to remove a nut that is holding the rear  brake assemblies together ,he was going to try and get some one to loosen it..we could bring the part to the socket location,,this is holding up progress..my biggest socket is about 32mm/1&1/4.
normal stubborness of old parts..and greasy work
Will is becoming mechanic.I start job,get it going , then show him
Had my first problem with my Fiero while driving, bad radiator hose, got her home from pinehills tho..

ANY ONE HAVE A 34/35MM SOCKET TO VOLUNTEER ?? Hopefully will can get it off..This nut is on both rear brake assemblies,we can not proceed untill nuts are loose.nuts on brakes that is..

Hey everyone,
Stan has been coming over and helping me on my brakes, rotors, struts and springs as well as Chuck, thank you to both. I'm learning a lot about the Fiero and it's workings I never knew. So Stan did in fact make it back over this weekend and we installed the front brake caliper, rotor, hub and wheel on the passenger side. This is looking great...Here's some pics of the install both from front and the rear, Stan and Chuck did the driver side rear wheel and then showed me how to do things as well, thanks again guys.I really appreciate the help...and need it  smile
